The Webmaster's first Pendolino experience was had aboard 390005, for the short journey from here at Oxenholme to Lancaster, on 27th June 2004. Wearing Northern Spirit livery, 156481 waits at Carlisle on 28th June 2004, ready to depart with the 14.26 Arriva Trains Northern service to York, via the famous Settle to Carlisle line.

150229 of 'one' Anglia is seen on departure from Lowestoft on 1st November 2004, with the 10.56 service to Norwich. Central Trains single car unit 153375 is shown at Lincoln Central on 3rd November 2004, having just arrived with a mid-morning service from Peterborough.
 
Hull Trains Turbostar West Anglia 365
Looking very smart in its corporate livery, Hull Trains DMU 170396 is seen at Grantham on 3rd November 2004, with a Kings Cross bound evening service. These units have since been transferred to ScotRail for use on intercity services between the Scottish cities. West Anglia Great Northern EMU 365513 arrives at Peterborough on the evening of 3rd November 2004 with a service from London Kings Cross.

Robin Hood Turbostar Midland Mainline Turbostar
Central Trains Turbostar 170513 is photographed on arrival at Norwich on 3rd November 2004, wearing promotional Robin Hood Line livery. One unusual visitor to Norwich on 4th November 2004 was Turbostar 170104 in Midland Mainline livery. This unit is one of a number of vehicles being transferred to one Anglia after MM's decision to replace their 170s with Class 222 Meridians.
 
Centro Class 323 Central Class 156
Central Trains DMU 323241 is seen in Platform 12A at Birmingham New Street on Sunday 16th January 2005 wearing Centro livery. These units now come equipped with televisions to 'entertain' passengers throughout their journey. Central Trains Sprinter unit 156407 is shown arriving at the picturesque Matlock Bath station in the Derbyshire Dales on Saturday 15th January 2005, with the 12:41 southbound service to Derby.

On 8th March 2005, Northern EMU 333005 is seen waiting in Platform 4 at the excellent Leeds station, ready to form a morning Airedale Line service. West Yorkshire Metro EMU 321901 is pictured in Platform 12 at Leeds station on 8th March 2005, having just arrived with a rush-hour commuter service.

Two car DMU 156427 is shown still wearing First North Western livery with Northern decals, as it awaits its passengers at Buxton on 12th January 2006 with a service bound for Blackpool North. 158776 pauses at Stockport with a Manchester bound TransPennine Express service on the morning of 12th January 2006.

Two car DMU 158785 of Central Trains is seen in a bay platform at Stoke-on-Trent on 12th January 2005 before departing with a mid afternoon service to Crewe. Wearing a promotional livery to advertise the newly-introduced winter timetable, Arriva Trains Wales DMU 158841 arrives at Chester with on 12th January 2006, with a late afternoon service from Crewe.
 
Northern Class 323 Merseyrail Class 507s
Northern EMU 323227 arrives on platform 3 at Stockport with a service for Manchester Piccadilly on 12th January 2006 wearing the livery of former franchisee First North Western. Merseyrail Electrics 507027 and 507018 are photographed in the platform at the Wirral terminus of New Brighton on 13th January 2005. 507018 has just arrived with a service from Liverpool Central.
